Life Testimonies

“Come and see a man who told me everything I ever did.”

These are real people from our church family in Canada. Different ages, backgrounds, and stories — one Saviour who changed everything.

From anxiety to peace

I walked into CTRJ exhausted — panic attacks, sleepless nights, a faith that felt empty. The first sermon I heard pointed me back to the cross. For the first time in years, I prayed and actually believed He heard me. Jesus didn't just give me peace — He gave me Himself.

A mom who met Christ

I came to Canada as a tourist, leaving my family behind for opportunity. A friend invited me to a life group. They didn't argue me into believing — they loved me, fed me, prayed with me. Through Christ I found my faith, believed, and was baptized. Jesus is my Lord and my home.

It's never too late

I thought church was for younger people with cleaner lives. The pastor sat with me, opened the Scriptures, and showed me Jesus welcomes sinners. I gave my life to Christ — and the best season of my life followed.

Chosen by grace, not by works

My name is Dexter, and this is my story. For years, I lived as an unbeliever. I thought being a “good person” was enough. I believed God would accept anyone who tried their best. But deep down, I felt empty — like I was invited to something meaningful but could never find the door. Then I read Matthew 22:14: “For many are invited, but few are chosen.” I realized I had heard about God, but I had never truly responded to Him. I wasn’t one of the chosen — not because God rejected me, but because I had never surrendered to Him. That led me to John 14:6, where Jesus says, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.” I stopped trying to earn my way. I saw that good works couldn’t save me — only Jesus could. And finally, Romans 6:23 hit home: “For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.” I deserved death for my sin, but God offered me a gift I didn’t earn. That gift changed everything. Today, I’m no longer lost. I’m chosen not by my worth, but by His grace. If you’re still searching — stop striving. Jesus is the way.
